My gp appt. went ok thanks, very straight forward. Took mum up the street and even she was ok today. No nasty comments! I'll take that as a win.   New car smell is nice. It's nice and clean too. MIL has been with her partner for 30+ years @Bow. He has taken time off work to look after her. She almost needs someone 24/7 these days. H has a sister too, but she lives about an hour away.   Downstairs might be a good idea hon. I know how much you dislike the heat. It's hard with little one's, keeping them occupied all the time. Hard when it's up to you to entertain them. Sometimes you just want to have them occupy themselves, give you a break.   Haven't really seen S much. He has been working most days. Hi @Bow  MIL lives about 20mins from us. She lives with her partner who looks after her. Will go see her tomorrow. Just hate going into her house as she smokes inside. Stinks!   The next 3 days for us are really hot too. Will be staying inside with the air con on. Thats the bad thing about coming home from holidays. Sorry hon @Bow  Fell asleep on the couch last night so went to bed. MIL coming home today, test results came back ok. We got an Audi Q7.  Had gp this morning and then took mum up the street. She has gp on Thursday too. There is a gp where she is but after one appt. with them she decided she didn't like them 🤦‍ 🤦‍ So lucky me has to take her to her old gp. I've got an appt. with my pdoc in 2 weeks @Eve7  He normally takes longer over June/July period. Just hard when pdoc and psych are away at the same time. Just have to deal with it I guess. Hopefully training goes well hon. I'm sure they trust you enough to know what is good for them. ... View more

Amongst all the chaos, today has gone ok. Went and saw MIL yesterday. She was with it and a lot better than a few days ago. She had got an infection in her blood stream that made her go downhill quickly. They still don't know how. Pumping her full of meds. If bloods come back tomorrow morning ok, then she will be able to go home. Hoping for the best. Picked up my new car today!! Was exciting. Now to sell the old one.   Back to reality tomorrow. Wow @Bow it sounds full on but so much fun! It seems like there were so many different things that you could do.  I'm so happy that you all enjoyed yourself. Hopefully it will be memories to last a life time. It's great that D enjoyed it too. I can imagine how big New Years Eve would have been.   Mum's just being herself. More things she is struggling with. Getting frustrated so taking it out on me. She's angry at my brother so once again takes it out on me. I took her out yesterday and she complained the whole time. Yes MIL has been unwell since her heart attack late last year @Bow Just seems to be one thing after another. She said if she had another one that she doesn't want any intervention. I think she has just had enough of going through all of this again and again. My head isn't good, lots of thoughts. New year hasn't started well.   I'm so glad you are home safe but can understand D not wanting it to be over. She must have had an amazing time! I hope you were able to enjoy it too. So MIL is a bit better. At least she can hold a bit of a conversation with you before falling back asleep. Doctors are still trying to work out what happened for her to end up like this. Has had lots of iv meds. No date as to when she can come home. Think it's a bit too early for that.   Not much sleep last night. Prn to help today. Had ECT this morning then spent the rest of the day at the hospital. Just got home. MIL rushed back to hospital yesterday afternoon. Been in emergency for almost 24hours. Got transferred to a ward about two hours ago. Made sure she was settled then came home. Tagging with her partner since only 2 allowed at a time. She has asked for a DNR on her file. Made me upset but I can fully understand why she would want that. They are still not sure what happened.   To say I'm mentally exhausted is an understatement.
