Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Judi9877 i hear you sweet. I'm sorry that you are feeling stressed moving can be hard and carer/ health issues i imagine is alot to deal with. I'm so glad that you have your crochet and knitting needles with you so you can make beanies and squares. Watching the tennis sounds like a good distraction too.

You'll get through this and we are here with you ❤️.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@PeppyPatti @Judi9877 @Dreamy @Jynx @Ru-bee  can i ask something? we are all over the age of 18 so are classified as adults.  why is there a problem with letting members contact each other over the net?  for example. i really dont understand it.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

That's a fair question @Bunniekins

I might not be able to cover all the factors that go into it as I'm racing against the clock to type this before I have to head off for the night, but I think it comes down to 2 key points: Anonymity and safety

If the forums were a space where members could exchange details and arrange to meet it would go against our Staying Anonymous guideline, and the anonymity of the forums are what gives many the courage to reach out in the first place.

As for safety, facilitating member's offline connections introduces potential safety risks that we don't have the resources to provide support for. There is also the risk that members who are not on the forums could see contact details, or locations to meet and these unknown parties add even more potential or safety concerns. First and foremost, we want to know that we're doing what we can to keep each member of our community safe.

Sorry that was a bit of a quick answer and I'm happy to chat more about this but I might have to leave it here for tonight and we can pick it back up when I'm on next!

Thank you

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

A little bit of Ravenwolf for you...

I wasn't given a choice but to try to survive. The world saw me smiling and seemingly fighting my way through it all, never really knowing that I was dying inside. That was for me alone to know because I didn't want sympathy or anyone feeling sorry for me. Everyone goes through stuff. Sure, mine almost destroyed me and many nights, I just want to disappear...But I didn't. I kept showing up, getting up and battling for who I am and the person I want to be. There aren't do overs in life and so I did what I had to do, with the biggest lie of a smile slapped on my face. And that's okay. This was my fight and my journey. And in the end, I was still standing, still strong. Now, if I see someone else faking and needing help, I have the strength and courage to offer my hand and my help. I did it. So can you.

@Mustang67 thankyou for all of these sweetheart ❤️

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey @Bunniekins

that’s weird : I just got a message online from @Ru-bee  not bad or anything just letting us know that she is of he is listening whilst I put my 2 cents in that if that if the forums were less watched over or if the moderators weren’t chat good : we could swap addresses etc.

@Jynx @Dreamy @Mustang67 @MedicinalGypsy

@avant-garde @tyme @StuF

i admit I did fall in love with @tyme becausecofvsojetgibgcshecwrite but it was only momentarily …….. it didn’t last long: I think it was for about half an hour : I forgot.
Nah @Bunniekins I don’t know either.
hmmmmm…… you may not want to know me @ENKELI when you find out I am truly lazy.
I admit

it shouldn’t be too long until to go back to the gym. I’m seeing how long it will be lying in bed with fresh sheets until I want to exercise again ……

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Dreamy I like to post them in case it helps, even just one person gets through something they are struggling with.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Mustang67 they definitely help ☺️.

How are you doing sweet?
