@PeppyPatti Diego sounds like a cat after my own heart!
Many years ago mum and I went to the Cat Haven to get a cat for her. Long story short I came home with a cat that had been surrendered at just over 12 months because he was a bit "hard to handle".
His name was Scooby Doo which I promptly changed to Loki, in part to honour my Nordic heritage and his behaviour. The first night he took out the fly screen in the bathroom to escape. The second night he tore out the one inch strip of fly screen in the toilet thinking he could escape from there.
Over the years the carpet was pulled up at every door (yes EVERY door) in my house and I also have the remnants of a red wine stain in the lounge room because he came to fisty cuffs with another cat I adopted. They fought, the bottle toppled and broke, covering the other cat who then took off into my brothers' room.
When he finally went back to annoy the other gods in their realm we buried him and fully expected him to come alive, or at least stick a paw up out of the ground in a "screw you" pose.
I really miss that cat. I think he and Diego were probably related.

@Glisten the muffins are semi healthy - blueberry and white choc.
I'm considering going to the urgent care clinic to get some unmentionables for my back. It felt great when I first got up this morning, then I sat at my laptop to churn out some emails and pay some bills (gag!!) and now it's giving me the shivering hits again. If I believed in past lives I'd swear I was a snotty toad that laughed at the misfortunes of others, which is why I am suffering now!!
Wonder if I can take MM with me as my emotional support cat to the clinic....

@Glisten decided to treat myself to a night out at the ED. Medicare clinic don't prescribe pain medication, nor do any of the telehealth services so the only option is to pay $200 - $300 at the St John clinic or go to the ED. Not having a spare 200 lying around ED it is. They don't make the seat comfortable for back problems...

@Glisten battery croaked on my phone but I got out finally at 1203. What a palaver!
I don't understand the health system, honestly. They have a Superclinic but it's not open on Sundays. Then there's the Medicare clinic that is open but won't write prescriptions for pain medication. Add to that there's the STJOG Urgent Care clinic that costs a bomb and finally the hospital ED. Is it any wonder the ED is always so busy given the options are limited?! The 'Vegas is not a wealthy area, people can't afford to drop a couple hundred smackaroos to see a GP so the only option people like me have is the ED. So 6 hours of waiting for anti inflammatory and pain meds when the overworked staff could have been dealing with serious cases.
I gast has been flabbered.
And MM was pissed because he missed out on his evening snackadees.
I hope you have had a pleasant sleep and that Monday dawns with new opportunities. No muffins sorry, maybe if I can drag myself out of bed early enough I may make some.
